The ATP Challenger Prague Open will be held again
in 2003 at Stvanice, Prague.
Located on island known for hosting tennis tournaments as far back
as in the late 19th century, the modern complex boasts ten clay
courts including large and small central courts and an excellent
assortment of facilities including rehabilitation facilities, a
fitness centre, a swimming pool, two restaurants, billiards, a pro
shop, and the racket-stringing service.
Stvanice has also hosted the Czech Open, a USD 500,000 ATP Tour
event won by players such as Thomas Muster, Yevgeny Kafelnikov and
Cedric Pioline. Stvanice has played host thirteen times since 1986,
the year the new complex was opened.
Along with the facilities, an experienced team of organisers, the
proximity of the Prague Hilton Hotel (located within walking distance
of the complex), and the Roland Garros balls, ensure a high-quality
tournament scheduled for the week just before the French Open, with
the finals planned for Saturday.
Have we mentioned the Prague downtown area and the historical centre
is just stone's throw from Stvanice and the hotel?
